Dedication Concert Celebrating The New Rodgers Church Organ

About the Artist: Lynn Frey-Steward, CAGO, MM, is currently the Director of Music/Choirmaster/Organist of St. Sebastian Parish, Akron and Department Chair for Music for the Academy of Culture & Arts. She began her church music career at the age of 10 and has been a practicing church musician for 47 years. Lynn has her Master’s degree in Organ performance from the University of Akron and won the Akron/Canton Young Artist’s Organ Competition in 1983. Lynn has performed in Rome, Italy in 2002 and again in 2011, as well as in concerts throughout Northeast Ohio, Williamsburg, VA , Washington D.C., and Toronto, Canada.

Lynn is a member of the National Pastoral Musician Association and a member of the American Guild of Organists. She is a member of Who’s Who in America and the Global Directory of Who’s Who. She has many CD’s to her credit as well having been a workshop presenter for both the Youngstown Diocese and the local chapters of AGO.


 

About the organ: The all-digital classic church organ is from the Masterpiece series of the Rodgers Instrument Corporation of Hillsboro, Oregon, USA. Its installation was designed and completed by the T. S. Good Church Organ Company of Boston Heights, Ohio. Its resources include 144 stops over three manuals and pedalboard; equivalent to 171 ranks of pipes.
